Our next meeting is this Saturday, August 2nd, at 9 AM at the Capitol bar. Here’s a link to the agenda for the meeting, and here’s a link to last month’s meeting minutes.

In other news, I’ll be finishing my Master of Science in Applied and Industrial Mathematics at New Mexico Tech this fall and spring. Once the fall semester begins on the 19th, I’ll need someone to take over as Secretary because I will have significantly less time to dedicate to the role.
Per our bylaws, the Secretary records and archives meeting minutes for our monthly meetings, executive committee meetings, and county conventions. If you can take on that responsibility , I encourage you to volunteer.
Listed in the graphic above are all of the responsibilities I’ve been handling as Secretary (not including maintaining and updating the WordPress website). The responsibilities beyond meeting minutes may require the formation of a multi-person communications committee to be fully covered. I am willing to train as many people as it takes to replace me.

Recurring Weekly Protests:
Resist Tyranny Tuesdays, every Tuesday at noon on the Plaza with Socorro Indivisible
5 PM on Fridays with the Socorro County Federation of Democratic Women at the intersection of Bullock and California
– Mercury Kincade, DPSC Secretary

Our next meeting will be at 10 AM this Saturday, at the Capitol Bar. We’ll hear from Sam Bregman, gubernatorial candidate.
Next week on Thursday the 17th, Socorro Indivisible will be participating in the Good Trouble Lives On National Day of Protest honoring the legacy of John Lewis. They will be meeting at 5:30 PM in the Plaza.
We’ll be having our June meeting tomorrow, Saturday June 14th, at 10 AM at the Capitol Bar. We’ll have Juan Sanchez, candidate for Commissioner of Public Lands as a guest!
Deb Haaland is kicking off her gubernatorial campaign with a listening tour, and will be in Socorro at the Capitol Bar this Sunday, February 16th, at 5:30 PM. Come by to share your concerns and ideas with her! RSVP here:

Our headquarters cleaning and painting party was a success! A big thanks to our volunteers pictured above, and Allan Sauter who volunteered but isn’t pictured because he took the photo.
The grand opening for the headquarters now has more specific scheduling details, and will be from 1-3 PM on Sunday, July 21st.
